Sales Director Benelux B-to-Retail - Lifestyle - m/f

B-t-retail / brands / lifestyle / living •  6+ years •  Master Commercial/Marketing •  Amsterdam •  Full-time 

For the further growth of a dynamic, compact and expanding, international firm with trendy lifestyle brands in the living area, based in Amsterdam.

Purpose of this position

Managing the regional budget and the development and growth of sales and the sales manager/s to achieve the sales and margin targets for new/existing clients.

Tasks & responsibilities:

- Retain and grow business within the Benelux region:

  • Regional budget strategy developmentand board level business reviews
  • Achieve the sales budget and net margin targets for the designated region
  • Make commercial decisions to manage the business risk for the region
  • Approval of the long-term sales strategy planning and program proposals for existing clients and new prospects
  • Support the sales manager/s with sales negotiations and sell-through of client programs
  • Supporting during client business reviews/presentations
  • Build and manage the relationship with the client’s C-suite/senior management level
  • Review client projections and contracts for final approval and sign-off stage

Requirements

  • Masters/University degree in business administration or Marketing
  • More than 6 years’ experience in a solution selling/business development role (in an international/retail environment is preferable)
  • 2+ years’ experience in a managerial role
  • Proven business development success via consultative selling at the C-suite level
  • An existing network of C-suite level relationships at national and international retailers will be an asset
  • Experience in brand/loyalty marketing, CRM, and data-driven marketing solutions
  • Proficient in the use of office software (MS Office)
  • A true marketer – understands integrated marketing levers, customer centric, detailed-oriented along with strong analytical skills, and business acumen
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • Strong strategic and decision making skills
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Problem solver, think outside the box mentality, pro-active
  • Works well under pressure
  • Well-composed to handle and work closely with c-suite/senior management level
  • Frequent travel required
  • Fluent in English  + (other language)
