Launch Manager Consumer Products

As Launch Manager, you play a crucial and central role in the product launch process. You are the one who ensures that all processes leading up to new product or collection launches run smoothly. You do this through establishing clear project milestones, tracking the fulfilment of these and then monitoring results. You will predict and assess the impact of any roadblocks and ensure that all cross-functional stakeholders are aware of the status of planned launches. You will also take a helicopter view to sense check launch information, to ensure we give our new product launches the very best route to success.

What you will be doing

Experience with Agile product development, and a quick mastery of IT systems and solutions are highly desirable, along with a problem-solving mindset. With you as Launch Manager, PF Concept can count on developing, capturing and sharing the best practices to facilitate high-quality product releases.

From product inception to market readiness and post-launch, you will work pro-actively and closely with many different stakeholders and become a central point of contact for launch planning. This team includes your colleagues from Category Management (across different countries), Marketing, Commercial Finance, IT, Sales and Print and Manufacturing facilities.

All in all, your strong communication, presentation and writing skills will be extremely valuable for this position. The same goes up for your independent and self-starting mindset, data and project management skills, and organisation capabilities. You like to investigate contingencies, and when you spot any bottlenecks, you know how to resolve them. And since you don't stress easily, you're perfectly capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously and juggling multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities

  • Co-ordination of product launches with multiple stakeholders – ensuring full data readiness on time. Accountable for the category team’s data management, 100% readiness and reliability.
  • Creation of and Gatekeeper for all milestones (samples, OTB, order placement) within the yearly planning.
  • Analysis of various sets of KPIs such as delivery performance for all categories (product samples and initial stock), quality of data readiness etc.
  • Ensure that product data is optimised on our store by checking all relevant product propositions such as product descriptions, USP’s, images, are optimised for the sales.
  • Central contact for collating all product samples for photography and fair kits.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (e.g.Category teams, IT, Marketing, Commercial Finance)
  • Pro-actively identify any risks of delay to data or product delivery and plan steps to minimise any impact.
  • Continual process improvement with all stakeholders (communication, files, data readiness and accuracy, planning).

This is your profile

  • 5+ years of work experience in product development, data management of product marketing/e-commerce.
  • Proven track record in managing complex projects and executing launch plans.
  • Experienced managing projects involving multiple stakeholders from different departments.
  • Demonstrated strength in analytical thinking and problem solving.
  • Strong knowledge of product development processes.
  • Experience in managing and manipulating large data files.
  • Strong software skills, particularly in Excel. Knowledge of product management platforms would be advantageous.
  • Strong listening, communication, presentation and writing skills with emphasis on technology.
  • Excellent collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
  • Resilient and comfortable managing multiple projects against fixed timelines.
  • Experience in competitive analysis and market research.
  • Excellent English, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
