Junior Merchandiser E-commerce
b-t-b consumer products • 0-2 years • Bachelor E-comm, marketing, communication • Leiden • Fulltime
Ready to launch your career in digital sales? Have you already gained a few years of experience at another company as Online Merchandiser, or are you a recent HBO graduate eager to kick-start your career? Do you want to play a key role in driving digital sales and helping our customers grow their online business? Then this opportunity might be perfect for you!
As part of our strategic focus on digitalization, the company is expanding its E-commerce team and looking for a Junior Online Merchandiser. You’ll join our central Merchandise Team at our headquarters in Leiden, working closely with two experienced colleagues and your manager. They’ll guide and mentor you, ensuring you get off to a strong start and quickly feel at home at our company.
This is an exciting and dynamic role for someone at the beginning of their career, offering the chance to grow within the fastest-developing department of a market-leading company.
What will you be doing?
As a Junior Online Merchandiser, your mission is to boost product visibility and drive digital sales across our biggest e-commerce customers. You’ll continuously optimize pricing, product propositions, assortment, and conversion—always on the lookout for ways to improve performance.
Your day starts with a review of product sales trends. With your sharp e-commerce instincts and commercial mindset, you’ll quickly spot shifts in performance and dig into the “why.” Is the product content accurate and complete? How is the product ranking the platforms of our customers? Which online trends do you see?
Together with the team, you are the first point of contact for E-commerce-related questions from online customers or internal colleagues, and you contribute to the preparation of customer meetings with data, analyses, and insights.
You’ll investigate all possible factors influencing sales performance and clearly communicate your insights to colleagues across departments. You’ll also proactively identify opportunities for future growth.
In this role, you’ll collaborate with a wide range of internal stakeholders—including Category Managers, Account Managers, Marketers, and IT specialists. You’ll also engage directly with PF Concept customers across Europe, making you the international face of our digital sales efforts.
What do you bring to the table?
Do you already have some work or internship experience in online merchandising? Do you have a sharp, commercial eye for detail and a talent for spotting opportunities? Can you blend creativity with problem-solving and a hands-on mentality? If so, you're already on the right track. We’re looking for someone who also brings:
- An HBO diploma, preferably in e-commerce, communication, or marketing
- 0 to 2 years of relevant work or internship experience
- Strong listening and communication skills
- Proficiency in both Dutch and English, spoken and written
- A customer-focused mindset, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative spirit
- Confidence working with MS Office—especially Excel and PowerPoint
- A growth mindset with a passion for learning and openness to training and development opportunities
Our offer to you
In addition to a pleasant working atmosphere where you can develop your talents, we provide a flat organisation with an open culture that values individual input and initiative.
- We offer:
- A competitive salary that reflects your knowledge and experience;
- An annual bonus to celebrate our success when we achieve our goals;
- A laptop and the option to work partially from home, fully equipped, with an additional budget for creating an optimal workspace;
- 25 (or more) days of leave per calendar year based on a 40-hour work week, a premium-free pension, a birthday allowance, travel compensation for every kilometre travelled, and more;
- Extensive learning and personal development opportunities, including a wide range of online courses through Goodhabitz;
- Allowances to promote your health and wellbeing, free fruit, and a variety of lunch options available at affordable prices;
- A dynamic and inspiring world of product media products and gifts that you can buy in our own shop;
- Never a dull moment!
